AmericaSpeaks: Our Budget Our Economy
Peace House hosts local discussion to feed into the nationwide conversation on America’s economic future. Americans from across the country will come together on Saturday, June 26th to weigh-in on strategies to ensure a sustainable fiscal future and a strong economic recovery. You can read more about the national project at: http://usabudgetdiscussion.org/. Participants in the local Community Conversation, meeting at SOU’s Campbell Center Room E, will watch the program live via webcast, dialogue with each other about the issues, and submit their ideas.
Space is limited. To register go to: http://usabudgetdiscussion.org/. Click on “Participate” and “Attend a Town Meeting”. Enter the zip code “97520″ to locate the Rogue Valley Community Conversation.
Peace House believes that a critical component of an effective democracy is the respectful exchange of ideas. We are concerned about the polarization that too often divides our citizenry on issues that are vital to our community and our nation. We see this conversation as an opportunity to bringing together people with a wide range of perspectives to share their ideas and to hear how others in their community see the issues. Register now on-line and join us on June 26th! ?
Event Location: June 26, 2010, 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM, Southern Oregon University, Campbell Center, Room E, 552 Frances Lane, Ashland, OR.
