Position Summary: The Communications Manager has primary responsibility for increasing awareness, participation and viewership of SOPTV programs, events and services. Successful candidates will be experienced in advertising, digital marketing, website management, analytics, publications and events.

Requirements: Two or more years of experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated experience creating and negotiating trades and placement of advertising for television, radio and publications;
  • Experience working with press;
  • Experience with digital and social media marketing techniques;
  • Experience maintaining a website and applying analytics to improve the site;
  • Experience working on publications and newsletters;
  • Experience organizing and managing events;


  • Bachelors Degree;
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in public relations field or other relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated skills in writing and editing;
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills;
  • Graphic design expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (CC) including InDesign and Photo Shop;
  • Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment;
  • Represent SOPTV at events outside of the organization and outside regular business hours;
