New Directions in Contemporary Poetry

A free Community Lecture titled “New Directions in Contemporary Poetry” will be held Wednesday, February 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in Room D of the SOU Campbell Center at 655 Frances Lane in Ashland. The talk explores some of the more visible and challenging developments in recent poetry, including post-language poetry, conceptual writing and Flarf. The program is presented by K. Silem Mohammad, author of several books of poetry and Associate Professor of English and Writing at Southern Oregon University, and is part of a weekly lecture series sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at SOU.
