Examination of deTocqueville’s Democracy in America
How do the comments of a 19th century Frenchman about American democracy influence public debate and democratic decision-making today? In a Community Forum titled “Examination of deTocqueville’s Democracy in America,” Prakash Chenjeri, a philosophy professor at Southern Oregon University, will explore the answer to that question in an enlightening conversation with the audience. The program will take place Monday, April 19 from 10:00 am to noon in the Presentation Hall of the RCC-SOU Higher Education Center at 101 S. Bartlett Street in Medford. It is part of a free monthly Community Forum series sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at SOU. Refreshments provided starting at 9:30 am. No registration is necessary.
