First place, Kindergarten:

River J.
Phoenix, Oregon

There’s a boy and his name is River

And he lives on Fourspot Street.

River was going outside to play on his swing set.

And all of the sudden he saw a tornado in the sky!

And he ran in his house and told his mom that there was a tornado in the sky.

Nobody wants to see a tornado.

They both went to the crawlspace and after the tornado was over everything was disappeared in the sky.

But all the buildings in the state were still bolted down to the ground.

Everything that wasn’t bolted down to the ground got sucked into the tornado.

River and his mommy, they felt scared.

Next morning, they felt happy again because there was no tornado.

They found out that they only lost one pillow and one lamp.

And they lost their roof.

They called repairmen to fix them another roof.

The good thing to do after a tornado is to help people who lost their people.

Bandage every spot that is hurt and then give people food.

And call workers to build a new house for the people.

And that’s the end.
