Magic for Muggles at ScienceWorks

This weekend, transform yourself from an average Muggle to a scholar of witchcraft and wizardry at ScienceWorks’ “Magic for Muggles” event. The museum will be transformed into ScienceWarts on July 9th and 10th with activities and shows exploring the science behind the famous Harry Potter Book series.

Visitors will receive a Spell Book to try their hand at courses in Potions (Chemistry), Divination (Predictions & Hypotheses), Herb-ology and Defense Against the Dark Arts (Wand-Making).

Care of Magical Creatures activities include presentations by Wildlife Images, Bugs-R-Us and the Badger Run Wildlife Rehab Center. Complete all the courses and get entered into a raffle for great prizes, including 4 tickets to the newest and final Harry Potter movie, opening in theaters on July 15th.

Outdoor activities include, learning to play Quidditch and Defeating the Dragon in the bounce house obstacle course.

Finally, don’t miss the premiere of ScienceWorks’ 8th live science show, The Magic of Science.
