Are you ready to make your mark on public television?
There are several categories to explore when considering a donation to Southern Oregon Public Television.
Members of the Patrons and Producers Society are recognized as Southern Oregon Public Television’s most generous contributors. You’ll enjoy special events and exclusive opportunities only available to members of the Society, private screenings, and behind-the-scenes tours of the studio.
We have several levels of contribution in the Society:
Patron’s Circle $1000-$2499
Director’s Circle $2500-$4999
Producer’s Circle $5000-$9999
Executive Producer’s Circle $10000+
You can give an undesignated annual gift as part of your membership, or you can designate your gift to support specific programs and projects here at the Station–from our Teacher Community Project to Children’s Education, to local shows such as My Story of Service and Immense Possibilities. For more information on projects you can support, please contact Julie Gillis at 541.200.2867 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’re over 70 ½, you may be able to transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA to SOPTV without paying any federal income tax. SOPTV is 501(c)(3) adn allowable for Qualified Charitable Distributions. Your gift can be made simply by notifying your IRA plan custodian of your intent to make a current transfer to SOPTV. For more information on how to make an IRA gift please contact Julie Gillis at email@example.com or 541.200.2867.
For information on how giving through an IRA will impact your taxes, contact your tax consultant.
Stock And Securities
Another way to make a major gift to SOPTV is gift of stock. Donations of appreciated securities may produce an immediate tax deduction and savings on capital gains taxes. We work with Charles Schwab. To transfer stock please contact us at 541.200.2867, or Carmichael Capital at 615.595.5800.
