“We are excited for the opportunity to grow awareness and advocacy for those in our community living with mental illness and the families who love and support them. Our March4Hope solely benefits the people of southern Oregon through offering National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) signature programs, which include support groups, education courses and advocacy outreach,” emphasized Andra Hollenbeck, President of NAMI of Southern Oregon.
“We hope to build on last year’s success and raise $8,000 this year! ALL proceeds from the March4Hope STAY here in the Rogue Valley to fund NAMI-SO programs in both Jackson and Josephine County,” added Hollenbeck.
NAMI-SO is proud to welcome Stacy Brubaker of Jackson County Mental Health, Judge Pat Wolke of Josephine County, Sheriff Corey Falls of Jackson County and community leaders who will address the crowd about current changes in mental health treatment and new services in southern Oregon.
Come enjoy inspiring music from local entertainers followed by a rousing march through downtown Medford, led by renowned bagpiper Robert Johnson.
“NAMI of Southern Oregon members are all volunteers whose mission is to provide support and advocacy for people with serious mental and emotional illnesses and their families,” said Andra Hollenbeck. “The goals of our March4Hope are to increase advocacy, fight stigma and raise money to promote our mission and increase public awareness and support of these conditions.”
