McKee Bridge Day
Historic McKee Covered Bridge is celebrating its 94th birthday. Come for Old Time Fun and help the McKee Bridge Historical Society celebrate McKee Bridge Day on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 10am to 4 pm.
There will be history exhibits and photos, BBQ lunch by the Applegate Lions, Old Fashion Root Beer Floats, animals from Sanctuary One, raffle, music, a bake sale, kids train ride, games.
Janis Mohr-Tipton will be telling old stories of the Applegate.
Admission is free.
There will also be a one mile easy/ moderate hike conducted by Janeen Sathre on the old Gin Lin mining site (meet at McKee Bridge at 10am – donations required for this).
McKee Bridge is located 8.5 miles south of Ruch on the Upper Applegate Road (on the way to Sanctuary One and Applegate Lake). For more information please call 541-899-2927 or 541-899-1908.
All proceeds will go towards inspections and preservation of the Bridge.
