Oregon Art Beat: Ashland
Thursday, March 19 at 8 p.m.
Bill Rauch has been artistic director of Ashland’s Oregon Shakespeare Festival since 2007. In that time, he’s directed several world premiere productions, and initiated original productions and initiatives at OSF. He’s also ruffled feathers by featuring fewer Shakespeare plays than in the past. Under Bill’s leadership, OSF has expanded its costume and set shops, and increased community involvement. Recently, an OSF-commissioned play, All the Way, moved to Broadway and won a Tony Award. We’ll see what he’s planning next. Plus, Nell Geisslinger, Ashland Art Center, Dan Elster, and “On View Now: SOU Gallery.”
