OC: Oregon Channel logoThe Oregon Channel is a collaborative effort between Southern Oregon Public Television, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and the Oregon Legislature to provide gavel-to-gavel, unedited television coverage of state government and public affairs including:

  • Floor Sessions/Committees
  • State Supreme Court hearings
  • State agency hearings
  • Boards/Commission hearings
  • Capitol news conferences and special events
  • Other public affairs, civic and cultural programming

The scheduled launch date is January 8, 2007.

How & Where to Watch?

The Oregon Channel is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and is broadcast over the airwaves on SOPTV digital television channel 8.3 in the Rogue Valley, and digital television channel 22.3 in the Klamath Basin. The Oregon Channel is also available in southern Oregon on Channel 297 in the Charter Communications Digital Basic lineup, seen in greater Medford, Ashland, and Grants Pass.

If a Capitol event is happening now, but is not currently running on the Oregon Channel, you can access live streaming video feeds directly from the capitol chambers and hearing rooms. The Legislative website also provides live and archived audio streams of all legislative events.
