PBS NEWSHOUR SPECIAL REPORT TO PROVIDE ELECTION COVERAGE
On Tuesday night, November 2, 2010, PBS NEWSHOUR will offer special midterm election coverage. In a one-hour special live at 8:00pm just as polls are closing on the West Coast, PBS NEWSHOUR SPECIAL REPORT: ELECTION NIGHT 2010 will provide current returns and analysis on a night that promises a great deal of political drama in House, Senate, and Gubernatorial races. PBS NEWSHOUR Senior Correspondents will report from key locations around the country. Political analysis will be provided by NEWSHOUR regulars, syndicated columnist Mark Shields, and New York Times columnist David Brooks, as well as Stuart Rothenberg, editor of the Rothenberg Political Report and NEWSHOUR Political Editor David Chalian.
This special report is in addition to the regular nightly edition of PBS NEWSHOUR on November 2. The regular editions of PBS NewsHour, seen on SOPTV-PBS at 6:30pm and on SOPTV-World at 7:00pm, will each include fresh election updates but will not be solely focused on elections and will also cover other news of the day.
PBS NEWSHOUR will also provide frequent online updates on election night.
