THE PRETENDERS: Live In London
Legendary Rock Band Featured in 2009 Concert at Shepherds Bush
Friday, September 3 at 9 p.m.
With millions of albums sold and their place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame solidified, The Pretenders — Chrissie Hynde, Martin Chambers, James Walbourne, Nick Wilkinson, and Eric Haywood — are a special band with a special place in history. THE PRETENDERS: Live In London captures one of their many electrifying performances from their 2009 world tour.
The film was shot by Grammy and Emmy winners Pierre & Francois Lamoureux, without the use of cranes, dollies, or steadicams to create movement. Instead it is about the band, giving it all and not holding back. The filmmakers’ objective was to stay out of the way and capture the band’s energy in its purest form. No overdubs were made to the music and no fake crowd noises added.
THE PRETENDERS: Live In London captures 20 of the Pretenders biggest hits, including "Kid," "Back On The Chain Gang," "Middle Of The Road," and "Brass In Pocket."
The program features:
- "Boots of Chinese Plastic"
- "Talk of the Town"
- "Message of Lovequot;
- "Kid"
- "Back on the Chain Gang"
- "Brass in Pocket"
- "Don’t Get Me Wrong"
- "Day After Day"
