Kennerly, a native of Roseburg, Oregon, has been on the masthead of Time magazine, John F. Kennedy’s George magazine, Life magazine, and was contributing editor for Newsweek for ten years. He has more than 50 major magazine covers to his credit. Most recently he produced a book on the Obama inauguration with Bob McNeely.
The Southern Oregon Arts & Lecture Series is a vibrant lecture series featuring distinguished novelists, scholars, scientists, filmmakers, historians, journalists and cultural figures who talk about themselves, their work, and issues of contemporary culture. The Lecture Series connects readers and writers in a spirit of intellectual curiosity and engagement. SOAL is a literary arts program of the Jackson County Library Foundation.
