SOUTHERN OREGON TOWN HALL
-
Definition
- "Southern Oregon Town Hall" is a regional community engagement project that brings opinion leaders and community members together to discuss community issues and uses consensus facilitation to develop strategies to address their concerns.
-
Goal
- The goal is for SOPTV to use its communication resources to focus the region’s thinking on a specific regional issue such as: "managing residential growth" or "creating jobs" or "transitioning from an agricultural to a service economy" or "the opportunities and effects of expanding our tourist industry" or "addressing the needs of low income families," etc.
-
Implementation
- SOPTV will work with key stakeholders to organize, plan, and host the Town Hall, and will use the power of its television and news media resources to provide coverage of the meeting and develop a community outreach plan.
