SOUTHERN OREGON TOWN HALL: Education and the Economy

Education and the Economy
A town hall program on the particular challenges posed to education and job-training by the current national/international economic crisis. The program will include a panel of six education professionals and an audience of interested parties responding to audience questions and videotaped comments from a variety of students and trainees. It is hoped the discussion will generate a robust in-studio and online discussion. The panel will feature our two area college presidents, Dr. Mary Cullinan of Southern Oregon University and Dr Peter Angstadt of Rogue Community College and will be produced and hosted by veteran producer Jeff Golden.
Grant funding for this program has been awarded to Southern Oregon Public Television from the Center for Media Engagement to see community conversations generated about economy and education. The Center for Media Engagement is sponsored by The Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
