SOUTHERN OREGON TOWN HALL: Seeking Sustainability in Our Community
Seeking Sustainability For Our Community
"Seeking Sustainability for Your Community" focuses on community sustainability issues facing county and municipal governments in southern Oregon. It’s the first in a series of "Southern Oregon Town Hall" broadcasts produced by Southern Oregon Public Television (SOPTV) and RVTV, in partnership with Southern Oregon University (SOU).
"In an era of diminishing resources, the quality of life in our community may depend on the adoption of more sustainable practices," says SOU president, Mary Cullinan. "It is the aim of the ‘Seeking Sustainability’ broadcast to deepen the understanding of some of these key practices and identify how local governments can incorporate them in their communities."
SOPTV will offer a series of related programs exploring sustainability in business and at home on SOPTV, channel 8, and on Charter Cable channel 21 in Jackson County and on RVTV’s public access channels.
