STUDENT SHOWCASE: Aaron Moffatt
Violinist (Ashland High School)
Paganini’s Violin Concerto (excerpt)
Seventeen year old Ashland violinist Aaron played a three-concerto marathon from memory at the Southern Oregon University Recital Hall in 2005, when he had just turned 16. That same year, Aaron played two hour-long concerts in the Black Swan Theatre. In 2006 at the Bowmer Theatre, after only playing the violin for six years, Aaron played the nearly impossible Paganini Concerto # 4 and several other pieces as part of a spectacular performance, Great Works for the Violin II. Aaron has performed at many other spectacular venues and has an impressive list of credits for someone so young.
