As a senior at South Medford High School, Katie participated in the South Medford High School Chamber Choir and was a vocalist for the South Medford Jazz SuitZ. She grew up in a family of jazz musicians and began playing the piano and singing at a young age. In the past she has been involved in the Rogue Valley Youth Ensemble, the Oregon Bach Festival’s Youth Choral Academy, and the Solo & Ensemble competition in which she has qualified for the state level. She plans to attend college in Oregon majoring in writing with a minor in music.
