Mary, a senior at North Medford High School, plays several instruments in various school bands as well as Southern Oregon University’s Symphonic band and Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon. She was selected to Western International Bands the past three years and won the District Solo Competition on flute the past two years. Mary enjoys helping others learn music. She volunteers with 6th grade band, teaches flute privately, and is an academic tutor. Mary’s hobby is creative writing, and she is working on a novel. Mary will major in music and English in college as she hopes to teach both subjects.
