Music Composer (South Umpqua High School)
The High School Gridiron March (an original composition)
Scott began to play trombone in the school band program in the fifth grade. He learned to play the bass (tuba) in the sixth grade and joined the middle school jazz band and began to learn to compose in seventh grade. In eighth grade he founded the Myrtle Creek Community Band. Scott plays with the South Umpqua High School Jazz, Pep, and Symphonic bands. He has composed Mexicana pieces, a saxophone section feature polka, and a march for a full marching band, and arranged other polkas, marches, and pep tunes.

This was great! I met Scott on a school trip last year going to Rome. He is a wonderful person and full of talent. I'm sure he will go many places in life. What an inspiration!
