SURVIVING DISASTER WITH AMANDA RIPLEY
Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Host Amanda Ripley, author of The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes, provides a rare glimpse into disasters as seen through the eyes of survivors, experts, and scientists. SURVIVING DISASTER explains what all people should know about preparedness and their own neurology to help them survive disasters of any kind. Each survivor shares a personal story, and scientists explain the commonalities of the experiences to show how our brains can predictably behave in crisis situations. It is through understanding this neurology that we can become better prepared, less fearful, and more resilient when the inevitable disasters and crises of life befall us. Through interviews with experts, survivors, and re-enactments, SURVIVING DISASTER gives viewers revealing and important information about resilience and how to survive and thrive.
