Lovejoy Hospice holds its volunteer training from 8 am to 5 pm Monday and Tuesday, October 3-4, at 939 SE 8th Street, Grants Pass. Volunteers offer friendship and support to patients and their families, animal-assisted therapy, bereavement support and clerical help in the office. Irises can be the pot of gold in a garden. A brief catalog of the large varied Iris family, followed by a discussion of cultural needs, including division will be presented. Focus will be bearded iris and the varied water-loving iris.
