The Southern Oregon Concert Band under the direction of Ted Dollarhide presents its spring concert,  “A Tapestry of Music,” on Tuesday, May 18th, 7 PM, at the Crater Performing Arts Center, 655 N. 3rd Street, Central Point, Central Point. Admission is free, but tax deductible donations are gladly accepted, a portion of which will help Crater High School Drama students attend the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. The band will play a number of audience favorites and the concert will include special performances by including Soprano Livia Genise, Artistic Director of Camelot Theater, singing The Star Spangled Banner and A Valentine Medley by Ted Dollarhide; Cornetist Bob La Torre playing the solo in his own composition, Cascadia; and the Rogue Valley Sauerkrauts German Band playing several much-loved German Folk songs.
