Program Underwriting & Corporate Support

Corporate Underwriting

What Is Program Underwriting?

Program underwriting on SOPTV identifies you as a supporter of the local broadcast of a particular program or series. It's an effective way to let our community and thousands of loyal viewers know who you are and what you do.

Underwriting programming on SOPTV is a visible support opportunity that associates your company with a recognized public service. You, along with our more than 6,500 contributing members, are providing financial support to the one place on the television dial that is dedicated to culture, citizenship, lifelong learning, and the highest-quality entertainment anywhere.

Different Opportunities Based On Your Needs

Use your underwriting "message" to communicate with the community your appreciation of the quality programming on SOPTV with daypart underwriting or by being a Prime Time Partner and underwriting a specific evening's program schedule. You can also choose to reach a specific audience or audience type by being a program sponsor. Be sure to contact our Corporate Support Manager to discuss the options available.

Different Opportunities Based On Your Needs

SOPTV is far more than television. Beyond our regular quality programming, we offer services including:

Today, an increasing number of businesses and institutions play a vital role by partnering with SOPTV to provide funds so SOPTV can aquire programming for our community. Our underwriters include corporations, businesses, local community agencies, associations, and foundations. In return, SOPTV broadcasts sponsor messages and credits on Channel 8 north of the Cascades and Channel 22 in the Klamath Basin. We also acknowledge sponsor support on our website, in print publications, as well as at events and community outreach activities.

SOPTV's mission is about ideas, learning, arts and culture, and citizenship. Television and the World Wide Web are simply the mediums by which we deliver these resources directly to our community. As a public service, we all profit by improving the community which supports us. We succeed to the extent that our children learn, our viewers become engaged in matters that concern them, and our communities join together in a common cause.
