What happens when a socially inept surgeon develops an aversion to blood and can’t operate? That’s the premise behind Doc Martin, a whimsically funny series set in Cornwall. Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes) lands in his childhood summer home of Portwenn while wacky characters invade both his waiting room and his private life.
