PassinArt: A profile of Portland’s oldest, continuously running African-American theater company as they produce August Wilson’s “Two Trains Running” for the stage, a tale of changing times set in an American diner.

Roll Hardy: Join painter and tattoo artist Roll Hardy in a meditation by bike as he rides through the changing industrial landscapes of Portland where he draws inspiration for much of his work.

Minor White/Portland Architecture: Minor White is known as one of the country’s most important photographers of the 20th century. White spent the early part of his career in Portland, where he was hired by the Works Progress Administration in 1938 to photograph historic downtown buildings before they were demolished. This collection of WPA photographs reveals an era of beautiful architecture in the city, where classic cast iron buildings lined the streets of what is now Portland’s waterfront area. Some buildings from this era remain downtown, but for dozens of these classic structures, White’s photographs are the only remaining record. Our story explores White’s photographic mastery and an era of classic Portland architecture.
